| The Polish partner of the PLATON project - Wroclaw Centre for Technology Transfer together with Wroclaw University of Economics organised the two days event combining information, training and networking issues. The title of the event was “Socio-economic sciences and humanities in the 7th Framework Programme – proposal elaborating rules” and it was held in Wroclaw (Poland) on 25-26th September 2007.
The aim of this event was to provide general information and more detailed practical tips for research proposal elaboration under FP7-SSH theme. During the networking session participants had also the opportunity to present and discuss their research ideas and to find partners for future collaboration. The event adressed both SMEs representatives and academia. Among the speakers there were experts from the Polish National and Regional Contact Point and experienced scientists in the field of SSH.
During the event many relevant topics were presented, such as:
- Rules for participation in the 7th Framework Programme,
- From idea generation till consortium creation,
- Project planning (targets, tasks structure, work packages, deliverables, milestones),
- Case studies from the 6th FP,
- Legal and financial rules in the 7FP project – budget elaboration, grant agreement, consortium agreement,
- Contemporary socio-economic trends and their impact on SMEs,
- PLATON project – the offer of supporting activities and services,
- Open SSH topics for the second deadline (29/11/2007),
- Socio-economic sciences in FP7 outside the SSH theme,
- Research project realization in the international context.
As already mentioned above, after the theoretical and training part of the event, direct meetings and proposal discussion were held during the networking session.
