National wide conferences to increase awareness on FP7 |
| Several conferences are scheduled for the next period in many European countries to activate organizations (in both public and private sectors) to participate in research under the 7th Framework Program for R&D of the EU (2007-2013). These stimulatory events are aiming at increasing knowledge regarding the activities foreseen under FP7 as well as the rules for participation in these activities. Indicative list of events:

(PL) Inauguration of the 7th Framework Programme in Warsaw, Poland. The event will take place in on 16-17 November 2006. The Conference will be held under the honorary patronage of the President of Republic of Poland Mr. Lech Kaczyński. The conference will provide basic information about major aims, rules of participation, budget and structure of FP7. Inauguration of the 7th Framework Programme in Poland
We would like to inform You about the Inauguration of the 7th Framework Programme in Poland which will take place in Warsaw on 16-17 November 2006. The Conference will be held under the honorary patronage of the President of Republic of Poland Mr. Lech Kaczyński. During the conference the objectives of the 7th Framework Programme will be presented taking into consideration its budget of 54 milliard Euro. The conference will provide basic information about major aims, rules of participation, budget and structure of FP7. This event will enable to establish contacts among Polish and foreign research and industrial groups interested in creating consortia that prepare the projects for FP7. Moreover, the conference will also provide the strengthening of European cooperation in the area of Social Sciences and Humanities research, including the promotion of Polish technological and research initiatives. The conference will also serve as an occasion to summarize the participation of Polish teams in FP6 and award the most active and successful participants. During the Framework Ball, on the 16th of November, the prestigious awards Crystal Brussels will be distributed in six categories: universities, Polish Academy of Sciences, research and development units, industry, SMEs and Individual Award. Organizers cordially encourage you to take part in the Inauguration of the 7th Framework Programme in Poland. This event will bring result with more active participation of Polish teams in FP7. National information event of the German Ministry of Education The national information event of the German Ministry of Education regarding the 7th framework programme of the EU will take place on 15th and 16th January 2007 in the international convention centre Bundeshaus Bonn. On the first day, high-ranking international lectures will present the whole new framework programme. The second day offers a range of workshops and the possibility to deepen information concerning the framework programme. Hints for applicants will be given. This event is the first presentation of the Ministry which deals with the topic “research” in the context of the German EU presidency 2007.
